North Carolina high school students from Stuart W. Cramer High School and our sixth-year students met asynchronously for the first time.

The students shared a bit about their school life.

They have a prom night that is like a party where people wear dresses and tuxedos and go out for an evening of dancing and having fun with their friends. It usually involves picking up somebody as a date or a friend to spend the evening together.

A version of the "UPD" exists there as well. On the first and last day of school, they have a senior parade where all the students who are graduating that year run through the halls with drums and shouting.

There are more activities every week after school, for example, some students play football every Friday night. They can also join clubs.

The school offers elective classes that are not mandatory for students, such as Spanish, Theater, Band, Chorus, and art.

ENTREVISTA A ORADORES DE CLUBES TEDED ISJ

Desde nuestra sección, entrevistamos a las alumnas Catalina Vitale y Agustina Sánchez de 5to año A y B, para que nos cuenten su experiencia dando las charlas TedEd en inglés.

Las alumnas ya habían realizado cada una su correspondiente charla en español el año pasado, así que memorizarla no fue un problema para ellas. Esta vez decidieron darla en inglés y nos contaron que se pudieron expresar bien en este idioma, sintiéndose cómodas con el mismo. Su miedo era que el público no las entienda, pero aún así disfrutaron mucho esta experiencia y les encantaría repetirla el año siguiente.

The most creative people

3rd A & B students formed groups and made some presentations about creative people (singers, painters, film directors...). They all chose different people for their works.

These presentations could be in groups or alone and made in PowerPoint, Word or Canva.

The students had to talk about life, career, family, key events, interesting facts, education of these people and why they thought they were creative.

3rd B chose 4 out of 9 presentations and 3rd A chose 4 out of 12 presentations to appear in this magazine and the selected ones were:

Los estudiantes de 2do año trabajaron con el profesor Nicolás Berruti sobre la vuelta al ciclo lectivo y el trabajo en clases de inglés. Tomando eso en cuenta, realizaron memes referidos al tema.

Inspiration Award

Alumnos de 5to año presentaron sus nominados para el premio a la inspiración.

Luego, realizaron una votación online con el siguiente resultado:

Conocemos a continuación a la ganadora del Inspiration Award:

Our nomination for the inspiration award is Diana Spencer, deceased princess of wales, and therefore member of the royal family (by marriage). She was born in 1961 and got married with prince charles, prince of wales at her 20 years old while she was working as a nursering teacher's assistant,and she was extremely well-received by the public

She was the first royal person to really care and do something in order to help people with AIDS. In addition, she has done a lot for homeless people, children, people with disabilities and those who had cancer, by collaborating with organizations dedicated to helping them.

Her actions have been such inspiration that in 1999, the Diana Award was established in her honor. This award honours young people who work to improve the lives of others.

She was an exeptionally sweet and caring human being, who used the power she had in her hands for helping the needed ones

And not to mention how strong and perseverant she was, because despite all the unpleasant things that were occuring in her personal life, she kept doing the right thing

We really admire her, and think she is an excellent role model, not only to young people but for our species in general, for she was an icon of solidarity and love.
